And…bike selling

After a month of fretting and going back and forth on the bike I purchased on Craigslist, I finally sold it this past weekend. I listed it on Thursday for $600, the price I paid for it. On Saturday, Brandon and I met up with a guy and watched him ride it around. The moment this guy hopped on the bike and began peddling around the parking lot, Brandon said, “Oh, wow, he looks so much different on it than you do.” Proof that it was, indeed, too big for me. I had listed it for more money than I paid for it, but I finally just decided I’d rather sell it quickly than twiddle my thumbs and wait around to sell it at a higher price. I’ve discovered from continuing to search Craigslist for a new/old bike that people are WAY too proud of their stuff (and most likely overpaid in the first place). I’m so glad I was able to sell my bike quickly! Now to find a new one.

I have shopped around and found a couple great deals on entry level road bikes with good component sets but so far haven’t found a low enough price to make me bite the bullet. At this point, I’d really like to be able to find bikes for both Brandon and me. It’s just not as fun going for a bike ride without him!
